Forensic Awareness Education
Defence Forensics UK can offer lectures at our own Bath facility to a group of
up to 10 participants at a time. This allows us to provide a personal
service with participation of everyone involved. We have also
introduced an on-site education program where we are able to come to
your place of work and offer the same excellent level of education to
suit your schedule. We can provide this service to any number of people
at a time, suitable to the facilities available. Ever popular is our
1:1 service, where we can provide tailored expert advice and
information suitable for general education and specific cases at our
Bath facility or at your place of work. All of our courses and
education, whether taken at our Bath facility or at your place of work,
will count towards the 16 hours Law Society Continuing Professional
Development that are required by members each year. Courses are suited
to solicitors, counsel, police and others who have a legitimate
requirement to access expert forensic education.
Defence Forensics offers courses in the following areas:
IIncluding crime scene processing and scene tests.
Including information on the major forensic disciplines, theories and procedures.
Sels College Languages
More thorough information on the role that forensic biology plays in human identification and modern investigations.
Background information on paternity and DNA testing, results and statistics and interpretation.
This
course is designed to empower solicitors and counsel to interpret DNA
test results and make informed decisions based upon such a review. This
is not to replace forensic expert opinion, but rather to allow
solicitors and counsel a chance to understand this type of testing and
the meaning of the results obtained. This course will also include an
introduction to DNA profile analysis.
Including methods, applications, and case histories.
Each session is scheduled for approximately two (2) hours duration. We
are able to condense or expand each session to accommodate clients’
requirements for time and information detail.
Please
note that it is often not possible to provide detailed consultation
regarding client’s specific cases during training as we require as much
background information, as is available, prior to providing an educated
esponse. We are, however, able to provide expert advice during a 1:1
session based upon available supplied information. This often works
best when we are supplied with the details in advance and meet to
discuss the forensic implications of testing to be, or previously,
conducted in person.
Please contact us for
details and schedule of the courses you are interested in. On-site and
1:1 sessions are arranged on an individual basis.
